Another sold out "Cabaret 2006"
on the way to "Where The Action Is!"

The Guild's 2006 edition of our "Cabaret" variety show was another smash, completely sold out (in advance, no less!) and a large, talented cast with plenty of new and familiar faces. Directors Freddie McCormick and Tony Cavis, musical director Hrant Hratchian and his band Chapter III, choreographer Sue Daniels, and producer Judy Avison once again put together a highly entertaining evening of music and laughter for over 300 patrons at the St. Clair Knights of Columbus Hall.

This year's theme was "Where The Action Is," and it was obvious from the opening notes of the traditional "Wilkommen" that the action was on the raised stage at the front of the hall. The songs celebrated great American places and the means to travel there, including "New York, New York," "Midnight Train to Georgia," and "Mustang Sally."

The most pleasant surprise was the number of interested performers to came out to the interest nights in January and eventually made up the largest "Cabaret" cast in recent memory. Cast members included Dave Wilkie, Matt Martin, John Fitzmaurice, Ray Govaere, Kevin Niezurawski, Lyle Malaski, Dan Gurnsey, Kerry Cote, Bob Sturza, Dana Sullivan, Colleen Anderson, Dianne Saunders, Karen McCoy, Marie Lowes, Karen Belanger, Chris Spaulding, Judy Avison, Yvonne Markel, Linda Baker, Jennifer Hunt, Carol Bachand, Sally Hassel and Ella Gibson.
